On Saturday night in Quito i went out with Alex and Fredy, friends from Tena, who were in Quito on business. The Mariscal is known to be a very dangerous area of Quito (ie you get a taxi for two blocks) although i was perfectly safe with my two ecuadoreans! It was different from being in a bar in Tena where i know everyone!
