Still playing catch up. For one of our adventures we traveled to Isla Saona. The powdery, white sand beach didn´t seem real to us. The palm trees aligned the iisland, which made the scenery look as if it was a still picture. We boarded a decent size tourist boat, which provided ron as the Domincan´s say it. We know it as rum. The Domican´s definetly love there ron. They poured it down our throats the whole day and if you decided that you had enough they looked at you like you were crazy. They started off our adventure by feeling our little cups with mainly ron and a little coke and began to explain our day in Italian and Spanish. Luckly a fabulous german guide by the name of Susie guided us the whole day in English. Are first stop was to see famous caves and mangrows, whcih are famous trees sticking out of the ocean. The next stop was at piscina natural wear the water is shallow and clear. We were able to dive down and pick up star fish and ofcourse have our glasses filled up with more ron. We next arrived at Isla Saona where we snorkeled a bit, while our guides prepared a feast for us. There we ran into our fabulous Italian boys once again. On our way back to Bayahibe we stopped at a village, which allowed us to bye suvinors. Roxanne and I were quite the bargainers. We next stopped at a section where there was more coral. We snorkeled here. There were fish every where. Roxanne itried to be quite commical and sneak up on me several times, pretending that she was a shark. I did not find this funny. We then arrived back to Bayahibe where we showered and got ready to go out with the Italian man. We didn´t know this at the time, but they ended up having a whole night planned for us. They took us out to eat, which was the biggest meal I have ever had. They bought us a bottle of wiine and then dinner followed with a magic show. We then went to a club where they took us dancing. Need I say more. We love the Italians. The following day we went to another island called Isla Catalinita, which was a similiar experience. Once again the Italians took us out. Now we are in Jarabacoa. We will blog later this week! So keep checking!
