Well it has been a long time since our last blog. Things have been going pretty much the same around here. Its been really great at the library getting to know the kids a little bit better and have a feel for there personalities. The kids range from around 7 to 12. There are a few younger ones that tag along with their brothers and sisters which is great because they are ADORABLE. There is a 12 year old boy here who speaks english and drives me up the wall. The worst part about it is that i can't just turn to stacie and complain about it because he can understand me. Anyway, he takes an english class from a guy from new york who lives here so we went today to talk to the kids. It was really nice to speak english to some of them and get to know the kids better. In July we start summer camps which envolves a lot more time and work. We are going to start training next week and they begin the camps the following week. Just to give you an idea about what we do everyday here is the schedual
2:30 we read to and with the kids while they constantly nag us to let them color or draw for them.
3:30 we play game with them and color with them while they constantly nag us to let them have a ball or ask us who is going to be first on the playground. I also play candyland with a small little adorable pain who i have to keep out cheating. He took the cards with him to the bathroom and then told me he wanted to go second (which never happens). I said okay and then when he wasn't looking i took the top card off. When i drew the second card it was the princess and the look on his face was priceless.
4:30 they have a blast and never ever ever ever want to leave the swing. We have to pry them off of the equipment and we are exausted after 10 minutes.
Stacie did end up reading my last blog and found out about the spider. It really didn't matter until a few days later a smaller version of the spider was on our bedroom wall. Now, when i say smaller i don't mean small. When it was on the 2 x 4 (piece of wood) its legs hung over each side making it about 5in. x 5in. We, and by that i mean stacie, chased it around the room for about 20 minutes with a broom. We got it cornered into the bathroom but stacie just couldn't quite nail him. She was afraid he was going to jump on her and i told her to suck it up. We ended up spraying insect stuff in the bathroom and then slept on a twin mattress in the livingroom. Stacie woke up once in the middle of the night and proceeded to beat the bookshelf to death with the broom convinced the spider was hiding in it. She finally settled down after i yelled at her for a few minutes. I only woke up twice in a panic that it was on me so all in all we didn't sleep well. The next day we entered the room Stacie in front with a broomstick and me behind with a plunger. We didn't see it around so stacie stood next to the shower to guard me while i showered. The next night we slept in our beds and haven't seen him yet again. Compared to that now cockroaches are minor. We were at the beach when one ran out of my bag onto my towel and i just smashed it with my water bottle and brushed it to the side without a thought.
Well Stacie is leaving on Sunday. Tomorrow we are having a grill out with some friends and then we head out to the capital for a night. I will really miss having her here even though i have told her otherwise:) I keep wondering who in the world is going to fail at killing the spiders for me. Allright well i need to go, we are having pizza and rum tonight so we can't be too late! hope everyone is doing well and i will blog again soon!!
