Last night we looked at places to stay on Phi Phi. unfortunately there was no where! So we decided on Koh Jum.

We caught the ferry this morning after about an hour it stopped in the middle of the ocean! Next thing we know about 10 longtail boats moors themselves up and jump aboard. They hounded us withbudget bungalows for as low as 2 pound! we got on one destined for the golden pearl. Once we arrived we understood why it was only 2 quid a night. The bungalow was made of thin bamboo woven together. There was a gap between the roof and the wall to let all the mossies in and the toilet was a hole in the floor not even a proper asian or western toilet! There was no flush just the bucket and no tap!

We payed for the room and hired a moped to try and find something better! We arrived at a lovely place called woodland lodge and decided to stay there.
This place is set right in the beach with wooden bungalows and western toilets. The food here is gorgeous and the staff so helpfull (apart from the english owner Rai)!

Unfortunately the island only has electricity between 6-11 so there is no hot water! Oh well. It is paradise!
