Waking up feeling very refreshed in the morning means a good mood! It was 7am, I had slept for 10 hours, I was so knackered the night before I actually fell asleep while I was reading "that's life!" magazine! After a cold shower, I had breakfast which was bread. I could have bought my peanut butter jar or nutella chocolate spread but decided that I'll keep it for later. Rosie decided to come along with us to work as she wanted to know what it was like and whether she would like to work with deaf people. After a 45 minutes on the Tuk-Tuk we arrived, got handed with our timetable for the day, I had 9A which is my favourite class in the morning. I taught them countries and the world, I wanted to test their spellings as I was warned that Sri lankan children often can copy things down from the board but they do not understand what it is and how to spell it correctly. E.G. A girl seemed to have good english but when I asked her to spell 'white' in relation of me teaching them colours, she spelt wihie which is obviously incorrect....so I decided to be a teacher who hands out homework! I asked the class to partner up and learn spellings every word under my supervision each time, each partners until time was up then I requested they to memorise it and practise at home, I hope it works to improve their spellings for my next lesson with them. It was time for a break, one thing I was looking forward for a break was a warm ceylon sri lankan tea, it was always served by a lovely girl in year 11 she was quite eager to learn and there were loads of students, in particular one cute girl looking like about 10, walking past us in the staff room and back again repeatedly! The tea was quite sweet and flavoured, i shall buy some of these for Mum and Nicola! (and for myself too!) After I taught some other classes such as 9B, 10B and 11A with similar topic to determine their ability with English language, suddenly it was 2pm! I asked molly how was her day, she replied "rubbish" apparently her class was not interested in learning. I thought that was a shame because their prospects for the future and life is getting bleak and bleaker every-time they resist learning. Time for home, we got the Tuk Tuk back because Rosie leg was not fully recovered from the accident at the jungle weekend (We were lazy too) We went straight to food city in homagama, bought a few stuff and one of them was a Milo chocolate malt milkshake! =] It was only 70 rupees =£0.35 for us to get back home, so cheap! We fancied a film so I went next door to get my laptop, i couldnt decide which dvd we should watch so i told Rosie to choose, The eurotrip DVD was up for grabs so we watched it, not before I became paranoid whether the homestay family would disapprove of hearing the foul language and nudity from the DVD so I tuned it down to mute. Rosie will have to read subtitles! (she didn't mind) It was really funny similar to American pie (obviously American pie is much more better!) I was a bit hungry, I ended up eating some butter rusk dipped in my creamy smooth peanut butter jar, Yummy! We did our own stuff, I packed some clothes and essentials ready for the weekend, Molly told me it made more sense to just bring one bag to work then head straight from there to meeting others then to Galle for the weekend. I was a bit tired and felt like it was about 9pm in the evening but it was only 7.30pm so it was dinner time. I dreaded the rice with spicy food! As expected I didn't eat much, just a handful of rice. I was still full from scoffing peanut butter.....
