This was my third day at teaching in the second week, I am liking it so far! I'm unsure if it's a career option for me in the foreseeable future but wait and see and I shall decide by the end of 8 weeks! Today was a quiet day really as I only worked for 3 hours with a long gap in between, hate it when that happens! Beggars cant be choosers eh?!...but i had the pleasure of teaching 10A today, they are such a lovely group, one student has exceptionally good skill of drawing. He asked to draw a self portrait of me, I replied back saying that I wasn't sure if that was appropriate seeing that I'm the teacher....he was disappointed but not before he said that I was too beautiful not to have a self portrait, (Sometimes students can be like that, just distance yourself and make sure they know who's the teacher) I changed the subject and taught them about animals. The main excitement that day would be going to the pizza hut in maharagama where the youth centre is situated (Some of volunteers works there).I ordered cheese and tomato pizza with potato wedges, hmm. Me, Molly and Rosie sat on one table while all others sat on another table, unfortunately it wasn't enough room for all of us but secretly I was a bit pleased about that as I found it tiring to trying lipread everybody all the time and no matter how welcoming and how much effort they make, me and Molly will always be left out. I don't really mind at all as its quite natural thing to happen. Bless them, they are really lovely volunteers, Im pleased that we all got grouped together at perfect timing! We went back home about 8.30pm as we were really tired for some reason, I needed a long cold shower so I jumped in and stayed there as long as I could! It was refreshing and relaxing (I've got used to the cold shower...) I literally fell asleep!
