Hi all

Well it seem's internet providers are the same the world over but despite there excellent customer service we are back online yipee.

Its been a couple of weeks since i last posted on here and it has seen us doing alot of normal day to day stuff and settling into our new surroundings but we have squeezed in a couple of trips out .

First was a day at the skyline which is on Mount Ngongotaha which from the pics you will see is a small hill just around the corner from our house.

The trip up the "hill" is by cable car or gondola as they call them which is a very nice way to travel with ever increasing views of the lake and city as it climbs the hill even Eve and Esmeé enjoyed it after i sat down and stopped taking pictures hehehe.

At the top there is a cafe, restaurant ,skyswing , luge and more stunning views .

After a drink and a look around i went on the luge which involves sliding half way down the hill on small gokarts for about 1.5-2kms fantastic fun and then traveling back up on a ski lift i cant wait to go again might even get Esmee to have ago too .

The other place we visited was Rainbow springs which is a wildlife park also local too us And is filled with native flora and fauna, trout and native birds and some very friendly chickens one of which seemed to get quite attached to Eve and William following them everwhere .

They also have a rescue and breading center for the native Kiwi bird where the raise them til they are big enough to defend themselves and hopefully return them to the wild .

oh and just to rub it in i hear its been very cold in england seems winter has come early we do feel for you all while sitting here in t,shirts and shorts in the sun and temerature's of 26 degrees and up
