Well Happy Birthday to Simon's mum jo and to my cousin Tom- happy Waitangi Day NZ for yesterday- AND Happy 2nd Birthday to my little man William xx

To celebrate both Esmee and William's birthdays we invited some of the people from work and their children to join us, on a blisteringly hot day, for a teddy bear's picnic.

There were 6 adults and 8 children we had picnic rugs and teddy bears out for fun, games and food. Esmee got into the spirit as you can see and i painted her face- she is a teddy bear by the way.

We played pin the bow tie on the teddy, pass the parcel- which was a completely new consept to our dutch friends, and a picnic snack treasure hunt with goodies to be found at the end. we enjoyed a sausage sizzle, nibbles, a few beers and a lovely gateau with a winnie the pooh candle for the birthday boy.

The biggest hit of the day was williams new battery operated train set- we were lucky to see him out of his room all day.
