Finally got to sleep in until the sinful hour of 7am. Breakfast was in the garden and consisted of muesli with yoghurt and fruit and then one of the best omelets I have ever eaten. After breakfast we walked to the HO HO bus stop (hop on hop off). We did a complete round trip to get the lay of the land and then hopped off in the business section to do some banking. We then walked down to the waterfront and roamed around there finally ending back at the HO HO bus stop where we caught the bus to Camps Bay, a very beautiful beach area. We dipped our feet in the Atlantic Ocean (very cold!). We then caught the bus back to our B&B. For dinner, we went to Millers Thumb, a seafood restaurant just up the road. Quite an incredible restaurant. We both had Kingklip, a white fleshed fish. Mine was done in Malay fashion and Jean's in Garlic butter. The appetizer was calamari which was by far the best calamari I have ever had. The tour of downtown Capetown was very interesting as we discovered that virtually the whole downtown area was reclaimed from the sea. We walked through the market area which allows local craftspeople to sell their goods. Some very beautiful pieces but too big to bring home with us. Had lots of sun today which is very intense.
