This morning was raining so we donned our rain gear and walked to the train station to catch the train to Salem. We spent the day walking around and looking in the shops and just around in general. Today we caught the trolley bus to Boston Common where we walked around and saw heaps of squirrels, joggers and tourists! The Botanical Garden is next door and is beautiful so we had a good walk around there as well. Next we walked around the Back Bay area - gorgeous old houses, then on through Beacon Hill - more stunning homes and cobblestones. Back on the bus and on to Harvard. Lovely to walk around. This morning we left New York and took the train to Boston. A good trip and we bought a 2 day ticket for a trolley tour at the train station before heading to our apartment. That means for the next two days we can hop on and off the trolley bus any time between 9 and 5 plus we get a 1 hour cruise. Not bad for $40.
