Another free day so I headed off to the Champs-Élysées via the Batobus rather than the metro since I still had a ticket to use and it's more pleasant anyway. The bridge is certainly one of the prettiest on the Seine - beautiful lamps and carvings. The Champs-Élysées is a long street full of high end fashion stores and eateries. There is even a Renault store with a restaurant. Of course everything was way out of my price range so I just wandered but did stop for morning tea at a lovely old place with the most amazing pastries I've seen so far. Not cheap but the work of art that was my pastry was worth the price. Tasted amazing. I then caught the metro to another station to find the Hard Rock Cafe and shopping area there. I had lunch listening to ACDC and Nirvana - it was a really good meal too. Of course I then needed to work of some of what I'd ingested so I decided to walk back to my apartment which was about a 30min walk. I just hoped I was going down the right streets!! All good though I made it back ok and put my feet up for an hour before heading out again just in the local area to look at shops. After all my eating today I had an apple for dinner!!
