I can highly recommend the full day Burgundy tour. Although it was an early start (6.45am taxi to the bus) and 2 hours to get there, it was lovely seeing the beautiful green countryside and nice just relaxing on the way. Our bus was mostly Japanese plus 5 of us English speaking folk. So there were 2 guides which meant we had one guide for just 5 of us. We started in the beautiful town of Chablis where we went on a walking tour which ended with us tasting 4 kinds of Chablis - lovely!! Then back on the bus and on to the gorgeous town of Vezelay - there is a famous and very old Benedictine Abbey there and the views are just stunning. We had lunch in an underground stone room below a restaurant (more wine!) and the food was delicious. Good thing we had a couple of hours after as free time in Vezelay as the streets wind uphill. To the Abbey and we could walk off some of our lunch. Then back on the bus to Paris and the metro to my neighbourhood.
