Parents Night was a bit different this year. For the first time ever, I had a foreigner acting as my translator. His Chinese - aside from a pervasive Australian accent - was flawless. It certainly put me off balance, and made me shy about trying any Chinese of my own. Still, it's definitely encouraging to meet other foreigners who have really mastered the language. I meant to ask him how he learned, but he was eager to talk about Western movies.
Also worth noting is that even in a kindergarten, you can never look too sharp when making a first impression. The most flattering compliments are delivered by people who think you can't understand, haha.- comments
PhatDaddy Don't sell yourself short, the only way you'd be in position to identify his skills as 'flawless' is if you felt comfortable identifying them as flawless which, in turn, speaks to your competency. More importantly, your attire and physique, puts him to shame. As for westerns, nothing touches the good, the bad and the ugly ... "blondie ........"!
Grandy Ryan hit the nail on the head. Looking smart.
Ron Scott, any update from the day in Hong Kong
PhatDaddy give us an update already, we've been waiting almost a month ... have you gone to Macau for some high stakes poker?
