Hey you guys

Currently in Chiang Mai, we boarded a train last night at 6pm & arrived here at 7.30am this morning! It was sooo cool, at 10pm the beds are all pulled out and they're sooo cute! We all had upper bunks and there are seat belts to keep you from rolling out!! I didn't sleep too well though as some fat dude below me was snoring soooooooo loudly!! I was listening to my ipod on full blast just to try and drain the noise out!! What was more disturbing was that his snoring sounded like wet farts!! Imagine listening to that for four hours!!

Our tour group and leader is lovely, we had our first meeting on Thursday night, there are 10 girlies and just 1 guy! Bless him!! There are just 3 English people inculding myself, the guy & his girlfriend. The rest of the group are Australians & Americans. Everyone is soooo lovely, we've all bonded already!! And when our leader asked if anyone had any allergies etc, or fruit & veg they didn't like I took it upon myself to inform my entire group, that I don't eat bananas! Infact I told them I can't even go near them!! They all thought it was quite cute and funny and i'm glad they know because there's bloody bananas everywhere over here! Hanging bananans, deep fried bananas, grilled bananas!! You name it !!

Anyway yesterday we went on a long boat tour of Bangkok, which I really enjoyed, took some good photos which I will get round to uploading on here!! Afterwards Nat & I got a tuk-tuk back to KhaoSan Road & had lunch. I had my first proper Thai meal and it was yummy!! In the afternoon we sat in a bar & played cards with Tess & Sarah whilst enjoying a few alcoholic beverages! I taught them all how to play Rummy!

Tomorrow we are doing a 3 hour trek and then staying in a hill-tribe village, and on Monday we are riding elephants! I can't wait for that, very excited!!

I probably won't be in touch again now until Tuesday/Wednesday so don't panic Mum & Dad!! And Kate A, I know what a worrier you are!
