So it was onto Croatia next where shortly I would be meeting up with Amy and Loren. I arrived a day earlier than them so I had time to explore and acquaint myself with Split. I wasn't off to a good start with Croatia, as my one night in Split before meeting the girls, I got bed bugs from the hostel. So I was quite pleased that we were staying in a hotel and even more pleased about that when the cruise was finally over!Seeing the girls were great, and we timed our arrivals perfectly meeting in over the check-in desk at the hotel. We explored Split together and took in the harbour and some goss over a few drinks. The next day we began our voyage of a week sailing the coast of Croatia.Unfortunately, we did not have the best weather given it was nearing the end of season. However, when the sun was shining and the wind wasn't blowing so much we were all out in force on the top deck bathing our bodies for a better tan.The boat was pretty cramped at the best of times. There was almost 30 of us on what was one of the smaller and less equipped boats, the walls were so thin that I could hear the girls talking through the walls to my room on the other side, the rooms themselves were just begin enough to fit 2 ppl in them - 3 was a struggle so we just spooned to save room haha, and the showers….well lets just say they left little to be desired, you were lucky to have a hot shower at times and one of them was over the toilet itself! So every opportunity we had to get off the boat, stretch our legs, give ourselves some space and stop the sway sickness we all suffered from, we did much to the dismay of some others on our boat. All in all though, we had a great time. We visited some absolutely gorgous islands, met interesting locals along the way, drank a little, partied a little, and had some hilarious stories from it all! One of which involved the Amy and Loren not entering the main part of Dubrovnik and only saw the outside walls and the coast back to the boat. They thought they had seen all of Dubrovnik and even stated 'that they thought they may even like it better than Split'. Only to realise in the evening when we went back into town to party, that they had in fact not seen Dubrovnik at all and yet still thought it to be better than Split, poor Split!Once we arrived back onshore from our week long cruise we had one last night together back in Split. Boy were we happy to be back on land, no rocking and have a decent shower. We partied the night away and said our goodbyes early the next morning when we were to go our separate ways. Me off to Prague and the girls making their way to NYC to catch up with the other Aims.
