So a this entry is a little late but hopefully it still gives you a feel for where i visited in America 2 months ago!
My first stop was LA where I met up with Aims. It was so good to see her and hang out for the week. Our first stop was Venice and after not even being in town for 24hrs i had been shopping and purchased a dress can you believe it?! Yeah i guess you can. I had also slammed my finger in Aims' car door and it bled pretty badly to the point where without being too grosse its now come off and my nail still not 100% :(
We went to Santa Monica, ate and hung out where the stars do, I did Universal Studios, Hollywood Boulevard, Chinese Theatre, Kodak Theatre, Hollywood Star Homes tour and more that Im sure im missing out on.
We then headed to Vegas for the weekend. We got in round midnight if not later and hit the strip straight away. After a few hours sleep we were up mighty early for a day trip to the Grand Canyon which was amazing and ashame we didnt have longer there. Then we got back to Vegas and hit the town again. So cool to be able to get these massive daquiris and just walk with them down the street and into the casinos.
It was then a tearful goodbye at the airport which sent me on an emotional rollercoaster especially given that some friends decided to visit me just at that time. So being by myself and away caused me all sorts of problems wanting to be home and missing all of you so terribly much :( A part of me wanted to be alone and away from others as i wasnt feeling particularly social but then other parts of me wanted to meet ppl and couldnt. Not sure if the hostel and/or my emotional vibe was the problem but im thinking a combination of them both.
After visiting Lombard St, the curviest street ever, Alamo Square where all the postcards and TV shows film most importantly full house, the hills of San Fran, Fishermans Wharf, Levi's factory and much much more!
I then headed to NYC where after one night in a hostel i was staying with a wonderful lady Helen who put me up for the week. Staying with her brought back the normal Shaz and was feeling much better. I saw Brookyln Heights, where Helen lived, we did a bit of a trip to Long Island, Central Park, West Side, East Side, Times Square, a show on Broadway, Rockefeller Centre which i was lucky to see with the ice rink still up and when they converted it over the next 2 days into its summer cafe/garden style so pretty cool, and most importantly a Sex and the City Tour!!!!!
I really enjoyed my time in the USA, more than expected. Oh and Americans are a lot better in America haha!
Thats it for now, sorry if ive left a bit out, trying to remember everything from 2mths back without my diary to help!
See ya for now
