We had an early morning this morning to try to see some of Rome before the heat hit, as they are having some sort of summer heat wave at the moment and I'm running precariously close to not having any sweat free clothes left! Our hotel is positioned on the outskirts of Rome so we drove to the metro station and took the train into Rome. Unfortunately the train line was broken or blocked or something and as we are not Italian language specialists we ended up doing ...

We got up early today to head to the sculpture of David, it was only 10 minutes walk from our hotel. The museum had a lot of old paintings from various artists in it including one by Picaso. The actual statue of David is very good it is extremely detailed and to our surprise extremely big at over 5 meters tall!! After venturing to the museum we went and found our car in the back alleys where we had given a man the keys the night before. Luckily it was still there...
