Wish You Were Here!
Helooo,
Isn't it a shame that England lost to Scotland in the six nations and all of their dreams of repeating what Wales did last season went down the pan!
Hope everything is well back in snowy UK, needles to say its boiling here and the Eastern Thailand islands are incredible.
Since the last entry I flew to Bankok from Chain Mai, but not before missing the 8.20am flight we were supposed to catch, due to the fact that we met up with a couple of girls from Bristol and didn't get in until 6.30am.
Once in Bangkok I went to the Sheraton Grand to meet up with my parents, which was a lot nicer than the backpacker haunts I have been used to lets say. Spent the evening with them, then met up with Dan at the train station to catch a train to Ko Tao.
Got to Ko Tao the day after at 10am and headed for the main beach, found a bungalow and the rest of the day involved much relaxation and beach life. In the evening had a number of drinks and got in at around 6am. The next day was quite uneventful but did involve more beach.
The following day (Wednesday) we did a moped tour of the island, which was fairly interesting as many of the roads were mere dirt tracks and very steep.
On Thursday Dan left for Kho Pangnan and I headed for one of the nicest hotels on the island where my parents were staying and offered to let me stay for a day or two. As you can imagine the luxury was cool and the sight of a Tv meant that I did farly little. Had a Thai massage in the spa that evening, had food and then went back to the room for more tv.
The following day(My birthday) started with a scuba dive with my dad, which was amazing and has inspired me to get my scube liscence soon. Chilled out in the afternoon then had a meal with my paretns and out to twon. Met a couple of Scot's and had quite a heavy night...so heavy in fact that I ended up staying in another hotel in town and missed my parents depature.
The next day I decided to travel to Kho Pangnan, where I am now. Got here on the Saturday and met up with one of the Bristol girls from Chaing Mai (Clare), had dinner and early to bed as failry tired.
Yesterday me and Clare went on a jeep tour of the island which was cool and found a really nice beach. Got back in time for the Wales and Ireland game, which I watched with a Wlesh guy and an Irish guy in a bar. Went to a beach party 'til late, danced like a fool and then to bed. Which brings me up to today....which has been a lazy one.....there is an infamous beach party tonight called the black moon party which I will no doubt be attending.
Until next time though stay safe...if you cant stay safe....at least do it properly!!!!!!!!!
