After going to bed at about 9ish (we are total lads) we got up super early at 5am to start walking back up the crazy mountain. The oasis place was pretty basic and had no sinks which was interesting. Anyway, it wasn't as bad walking up as we thought, in fact it was a lot better than walking down. The first 2 hours were quite enjoyable as the sun wasn't hitting us but after it came out it was super hot and a little more uncomfortable. But we eventually made it! And felt great about it. We got back to the hostel we left our stuff in (pictured) and booked a local bus back to Arequipa at 11.30. The bus was mainly Peruvians and we got stared at again but made friends with some kids which was nice. Eventually got back to Arequipa 6 hours later and got clean. Best. Feeling. Ever. Then met some Canadians in our dorm who were nice and we ended up hanging out with and having our first wild night out. (More friends!!) We went to some Peruvian club and it was pretty fun. And also the bar at the hostel, wild rover. The next day we Hung at the hostel, booked a bus to cusco and went to a food fair which was really interesting, tyres cerviche for the first time which is raw fish in line juice and absolutely delish! Then Canadians came to then we played cards until it came to get our night bus, this time a super swanky one with blankets, pillows, checking in, a waiting room, food, it was insane. Beats megabus fo sho. Eventually arrived in cusco this morn, currently sitting in the hostel after getting clean and waiting for Chris to wake up to do some exploring and get some food and souvenirs!
