So for the past few days we've been in Arequipa! And in the Colca canyon. Spent the fist day in Arequipa just pottering around the city which is really nice! We walked up to a view point of the misty mountain and had our first alpaca steak, but turns out you shouldn't buy cheep as its generally a bit rubbish. Something we are coming to realises a lot. We checked out the local market which was interesting but not particularly sanitary. We then went to go and see about bookin a trek up Misti an inactive volcano and found a new friend to do it with called Damen who was a captain of a super rich persons yacht in Florida, and Harmka came with us to. That evening we just hung In the hostel and went to bed early ish as we had an early start. Got to the place we were being picked up for out trek and nothing really happened for an hour, then Eventually we went to get some kit and it turned out we'd been a bit fobbed off and they were trying to charge us more for things we though we're included and our guide didnt speak any English. Anyway in the end we sacked it off got out r money back and went white water rafting instead which was super fun! We did some more wondering after that and had food at the local market and dinner at a really nice restaurant which was delish. We also booked a bus to the Colca canyon for 3.30 the next morning.
