Today, I decided it would be in my best interest to go ahead and skip class and go skiing with Hansen and his father. It was an awesome decision. We left from the Moncloa bus station, and took the bus for only about an hour before arriving in Valdesquí. The weather was absolutely amazing, and so we skied all day and then came back extremely tired and ready to go to bed.
As I was about to fall asleep, I was awoken by an extremely loud chanting coming from the street below my apartment. Startled, I walked out onto my balcony to find the Turkish soccer hooligans chanting their team's cheers and marching down the street towards the soccer stadium to play Atletico that evening. They were followed by riot police and totaled probably more than 5,000 people so it was quite a sight to see!
The rest of the weekend was pretty calm and relaxing, as I had a lot of work to catch up on and looming exams so I spent a lot of time at the Reina Sofia doing homework and planning things to do for the family trip to Spain! Taryn gets in on Thursday, so I have a lot of planning to do for that as well!
