Happy birthday to me, happy birthday to me, happy birthday to meee. Happy birthday to me!!! And to Mum and Dad since we are celebrating their birthdays on this trip as well. Happy 60th Mum and Dad.

Today might just be the best day of our holiday. I'm not just saying that because it was my birthday either. First, I appear to have kicked my cold, at least most of it and I feeling fine. We had a late breakfast and wandered the beach for a bit before settling to read. We had to do some creative manovering to snag five loungers though. Had to drag them from all over the beach to where we wanted them. But it was a georgous view over the lagoon, which was the other side of the island to where we had been previously. Nice.

At 12.30 we headed out on the glass bottom boat to check out the coral reaf and the fish. I was a little disappointed by how few fish we did see but the coral was beautiful and just being out on the water was fantastic. And we did see some tropical and brilliantly coloured fish. Some seemed like they could even glow in the dark, though of course it was beautiful sunny weather today.

On the way back in to the docks I even saw a turtle along the bottom of the lagoon, though we were gone too quick to really get a good look.

I was really keen to have my hair braided, as I'd seen all the kids running around with the beads. The ladies on the beach were fully booked though so I got to head up to the salon and get it done there. I only got the front row around my face done because I didn't think I would have the patience to have a full head done. Even just thirteen brades took more than an hour.

I spent the rest of the afternoon at the beach by the lagoon. We ordered cocktails and I went for a swim. The weather was the best we'd had the whole trip.

We left around five to get ready for dinner. Tonight would be a buffet style dinner by the beach and we watched the sun go down over the lagoon. Wasn't all fun though, I'm pretty sure a bat took a s*** on me and Mum. Lovely.

As nice as it was we all decided to pack it in pretty early. All this vactioning in hard work. Eight thirty and we are all in bed.
