Early start today then we're off to pick up the rental car. We drove out to Sigatoka and to the Kula EcoPark. We got there with only a small detour. The Park was wonderful! First thing we did was get to feed the turtles. They said hand feed but really it was only throwing bits of fish into the tank. The turtles are going to be released back into the wild and they don't want to instill bad habits, like attacking fingers.
Then we got to hold the iguanas and the snakes. I really enjoyed holding the pythons, I loved the way they moved against the skin. The larger python could put quite a bit of presure in his grip. We weren't aloud to hold the bird as they bite, but they were so beautiful to look at. Listen to not so much. Talk about noisy!
Then we just got to wander the park at our leasure and it was so nice. You could just meander though at your own pace and check out what you liked. All the exhibits were lovely. And the grounds were beautiful too. All native plants. The staff were funny and very knowledgeable. It was a great trip.
Then we went back to Sigatoka. We parked the car and wandered the streets for a bit. I picked up a lovely new dress. There was a big open air fresh food market that looked interesting but the sellers were bullys. I did get some things and only got the things I wanted but I still felt pressured. I know Mum might have got some things if they had just left her alone to look. We stopped in at the supermarket for some things for dinner. There wasn't really the same selection that we have taken for granted back home. But we got enough and headed back to the resort.
Its started to cloud over again after such a nice day. But since I don't imagine we'll be doing much, I guess that's alright.
