Wow. Last week was HECTIC! Every minute that i wasnt working i was house hunting. Mostly with the french couple because Emma's work shifts clashed. It was so stressful becuase i had to do all the talking with the unltra annoying and ultra unhelpful estate agents and fill in endless forms. I know im half way round the world but last week i felt like i was dealing with real grown up stuff... I've never rented a house before!! In the end we found a flat right in the centre of Mandurah where we all work. It's not as nice as our Secret Harbour house but it's cheaper, an hour nearer to work, near a cinema, the beach, the foreshore and lots of pubs, bars, cafes and clubs. Our Secret Harbour house was luxury but to be honest i didnt have any more fun in that house than i did in our beach huts in Thailand or our minus 4* hostels in India. One of the reasons why i had so much fun in the house is not due to the luxury of it but due to the housemates and friends we made (apart from Vanessa). We find out whether we get the flat in Mandurah tomorrow (fingers crossed). Dave decided to move in with his boss in the end because it would be much more convinient for work but is still near by and will probably stay with us or Reuban at the weekends.
Vanessa was away all week last week which was lovely and meant we could all relax and enjoy our last week all together. Reuban (ex housemate) came to visit one night which was really nice and good for the 6 of us to be back together again. It was just me and Dave on our last night in the house because everyone else was wokring . We drank beer, cooked, ate and played cards untill the others came home.
We had planned to go camping on Saturday night and we were due to move out on Sunday morning so me and Emma decided to move out a day early so that we could get a nights rent back. We left and it was sad to see the back of the house but not sad to see the back of Vannesa. However Emma forgot her phone at the house ( silly silly Emma!) So we had to text Vanessa asking her to give the phone to Dorethy. She texted back saying that she'd refunded us $10 extra (which is 5 pounds so like 2 pounds 50 each) and that until we returned the $10 she wouldnt give Emma her phone back. Pathetic. By this time we were all ready in Mandurah. Dorethy gave her the $10 in the end so we wouldnt have to go back but the way the situation was dealt with by Vanessa was ridiculous. Before camping me and Emma went to a performing arts festival on the foreshore which was very intresting and then Emma had a 2 hour work shift so she worked while i sat in the pub and spent her drinks vouchers! Then we went camping with Tully and Rick and others joined us throughout the night. Was a lot of fun but it was very cold!!
The next morning me and Emma met Dorethy and Sedgewick at the caravan park where we had booked a cabin until we find out about the flat. All of us very excited. Dorethy told us that when Vanessa found out that Dorethy, Sedgewick me and Emma were staying together she had asked Dorethy and Sedgewick to stay (probably to mess up all of the plans). Vanessa asked Dorethy if she was happy to come and live with us and Dorethy said 'yes' she then went on to ask if she would prefer to stay in the Secret Harbour house with her, Dorethy said 'no'.
It was very strange to pack up my rucksack again. When we fist settled down in Secret Harbour I really missed moving from one place to another and living out of a rucksack but when it came to packing up again i felt to lazy to get moving again... Once my rucksack was packed though i remembered the buzz of discovering somewhere new.
I still love my job! My manager asked me to stay and work at the bakery instead of going to New Zealand! Obviously im not going to do it but i will be very sad to have to leave my job.
The caravan parks is lots of fun, i feel like im on holiday in England 50 years ago! It gets very cold at night so we put on as many clothes as we can and sit infront of a little heater to keep warm!
Dorethy and Sedgewick both have laptops and have managed to get internet in the caravan park which is great!!

Memet I worked with Irine many years ago at the old BJHS. One of my jobs was sbbiung for her on days when she would not be at work. She trained me for that job, had to be accurate, there was money involved. I remember her as a kind and funny person. I liked her sense of humor. She was always good to me as I was young and quiet. She would talk about Blackie and Mike. I remember when Emily was born, she was so happy. And from then on she would talk about her also. My sympathy to her family. She loved you.Cleo Mikesell
