Memet I worked with Irine many years ago at the old BJHS. One of my jobs was sbbiung for her on days when she would not be at work. She trained me for that job, had to be accurate, there was money involved. I remember her as a kind and funny person. I liked her sense of humor. She was always good to me as I was young and quiet. She would talk about Blackie and Mike. I remember when Emily was born, she was so happy. And from then on she would talk about her also. My sympathy to her family. She loved you.Cleo Mikesell
re: Mandurah, Western AustraliaEfo hey nandi, you're right we gotta choose our own route but true cotnmnteent can only come when you know you've been true to yourself, and only a fool would turn their back on that.Your mum sounds great and I'm sure she has an awesome life, but you can go and explore what else life has to offer and still go back and get that life in 5 years time. What you can't do however is recapture your youth and experience the world with no responsibilities the way we can now so lets pack our bags! see you on the road
re: photo from 09 March 2008Carolina I agree with much of what you say (although we are not backpackers), but nuebmr one is not always true. We are culinary travelers so we travel with the intention of eating everything (from food stalls to 3 star Michelin restaurants). We are also lucky enough to live in one of the culinary capitals of Asia. Many of the restaurants/food stalls we have here in Taipei are featured in Lonely Planet and guidebooks around the world, but they are also the places the locals visit. In some parts of Asia, the longer the line, the better guarantee of great food (and that goes for the night markets here as well). While no means is every restaurant in guide books the best, but skipping over a place just because it is mentioned could mean you are missing out on some of the best local gems!
re: photo from 25 February 2008Helmi - Oh my, that location is snunnitg. And those food shots are awesome too Had my mouth watering instantly! Lucky you to be in New Zealand? I'll bet the wedding's going to be epic.
re: Auckland, New ZealandIza I'm impressed, I have to say. Very sdoelm do I see a blog thats both educative and entertaining, and let me tell you, you've hit the nail on the head. Your thoughts is important; the issue is something that not a lot of people are speaking intelligently about. I am really happy that I stumbled across this in my search for something relating to it.
re: photo from 04 July 2008Ricardo I love, love, love (can't say love enough) to trveal!!! It is one of my most favorite parts of life...to experience a new land, a new culture, new food...you get the point! I am dreaming of Australia at the moment...and always of Paris (I want to go back!!!) xoxoxo brynn
re: photo from 09 March 2008beetzyy This show rocks, I saw another show on this on yutboue and it stunk, the lady was phoney and didn't know what she was saying but this show rocks. Thanks Maureen.[]
re: photo from 09 March 2008Daniele I agree Ace is Better than Tommy only because he was an oginiral member if Kiss. Tommy is otherwise better than Ace because Tommy never gets drunk or stoned so much he misses shows like Ace. I Love Ace with my Heart But if he was still in the band the performances would be horrible. Ace even agrees with that he said so himself on Live Radio.

re: Queenstown, New ZealandClaudia As long as I keep at least 25,000 miles in my account, I can use those miles plus $350 for an urdapge to Business or First Class after purchasing an economy ticket. In the case of Business class urdapge, that's a $5,000 ticket (Dallas to Seoul) for only $1300, for example. Well worth it to be able to lay down and sleep on that 13 hr flight! Plus, they loan you Bose noise cancelling headphones, a toiletry amenity kit (slippers, eye shades, toothpaste, etc.). And if you can make it all the way to a First Class enclosed suite, they even give you pajamas!
re: photo from 04 July 2008Cutoo for the link. Have you heard of this type of tactic bforee offering more expensive fares to Engilsh speaking? The more I look at the translation of the site the more I realise its not a translation issue, they are offering cheaper train fares to Spanish people, or Spanish speakers.Going to drop them an email tonight and we'll see what they say (probably no response)
re: photo from 04 July 2008Ashley I wish to show my thanks to this wteirr for rescuing me from this problem. After exploring throughout the the net and finding notions that were not beneficial, I believed my life was well over. Being alive without the answers to the issues you've fixed by way of the write-up is a critical case, as well as the ones that might have negatively damaged my entire career if I hadn't discovered your site. Your own personal understanding and kindness in controlling every aspect was helpful. I'm not sure what I would have done if I hadn't encountered such a subject like this. It's possible to now look forward to my future. Thank you very much for your reliable and results-oriented help. I won't be reluctant to recommend the website to any individual who would need support on this topic.

re: Falcon, Western AustraliaGreg I realize that these take up a good deal of room, but the thhgout of pitching or selling off some materials that were published over 100 years ago is troublesome for me. I know that there is a collectors' market for vintage paper items, and many of these periodicals would certainly count. From the perspective of a cultural historian, there is no substitute for paging through the original issues, seeing how items were juxtaposed on the page, and noting advertising, graphics, and other visual ephemera. If the plan is to eliminate these in favor of on-line versions, I would want to be assured that the full-text digital versions preserve the original print layouts (in PDF probably) with images, ads, page numbers etc. If full-text instead means a set of excerpted articles that are only accessible via a database (no browsing of the original layout), and if they are not in original colors etc, then we need to keep the originals. Regards,Scott H.
