Woke up early again anxious to complete the final leg to Cold Lake. Went in to Walmart for breakfast at McDonalds (Paul got his round egg McMuffins). We always like to go into whatever Walmart we stay at to buy something. While in there, I bought a small pan so that Paul could have his stupid round egg McMuffins on the trip home. On the road again. I can't get over how flat it is here. For miles you can see fields. Paul always says you can see your dog run away from home for three days. (in Micki's case, two days because she is smaller). We stopped in a small town named Radisson to get fuel for both the Motorhome and us. It was good food but I ordered mild wings and could fart flames for days I'm sure. Not so mild!
I have this incredible opportunity while riding for days in this Motorhome to do some things that I don't get much chance to do at home like making jewelry, reading, sorting out my computer files and backing them up and yet I have accomplished little. I have just sat back, watched the scenery, napped and played skipbo on my phone. Kind of feels good to do nothing. We are about an hour away from my nephew's house in Cold Lake.
We arrived at 6:30 (Alberta time) and were welcomed by Jim and Karli and some family members from both sides that came earlier. Karli's parents drove for the Yukon and arrived on Sunday...very nice people.
I have to say I was quite surprised at what a cute little town this is with a population of approximately 14,000 people. It is very pretty here and seems to have everything you would need. Will check it out more tomorrow. It is a military town (hence the reason my nephew lives here) and when we were sitting around outside we could hear the fighter jets doing their exercises.
Well, this girl is tired so lights out. Good night.
