Got up this morning to find that three transports pulled in beside us during the night. Bob heard one of them arrive but Paul and I heard nothing. We also discovered that the restaurant whose parking lot we used to bed down in had a campground behind it....oops!! It was so dark when we pulled in last night that we didn't know it was there. We decided that the least we could do was go in for breakfast. (I was totally ok with that as I would have had to make more 'square' Egg McSouth's). We headed on down the road for another day of driving. Paul and Bob are sharing the driving and I am sitting back enjoying the ride. At one point I decided that I wanted a nap so me and my little dog headed back to the bedroom. It is so nice laying on the bed with the diesel engine rumbling underneath that it lulled me sleep for about a half hour. We drove through Winnipeg (trivia: this is where Winnie the Pooh comes from). Seriously, it's true - look it up.
The road is so straight and flat compared to the hills we drove through in Ontario. We stopped in Brandon, Manitoba for fuel and coffee and back on the road again listening to the hum of the tires on the smooth pavement. Our goal is to hit Regina, Saskatchewan to shut down for the night. We'll see. Right now I am working on editing the last wedding I photographed.
We drove to Regina and shut down at a 'Camp Walmart'. It was midnight here but 2:00 in the morning Ontario time. Good night.
