Got up and went in to Walmart to give our business which we like to do when camping in their parking lot. Had some breakfast and got back on the road heading to Gord's. His son owns a log house set nice and high with a killer view of the land and he has about 1000 acres. Gord was sitting on the front step watching for us. Bob and I had met Gord a couple of times before when were visiting Paul. We had a really nice visit with him and we stayed for an hour or so. Micki enjoyed the break from the Motorhome wandering around checking things out. I could live out here. It is beautiful country.
We bid Gord adieu and headed on our way. Came across an abandoned house set on a hill overlooking a small lake. Photo op for me so I went up to investigate and take a few shots. As I stepped inside this old abandoned house, I wondered what stories the walls could tell...who lived here, what conversations took place within the four walls. What were the people like? Where are they now? I got a couple of beautiful shots taken through the long grass with the bluest of blue skies above. I think they just might be worthy of a frame.
We pressed on and I took pictures of grain elevator after grain elevator after grain elevator. It sure is flat roads.
