Monday 24th
This the first day of the course but, nothing is planned for us until 4pm which is when we have the opening ceremony. Until then all we had to do was sort out Indian sim cards and just chill out, I had breakfast and tried to sort out the sim card and credit. This cost 600 Rs. (rate around £1 = 75 Rs.) which is about £8 which was good value for money. (So I thought) To get an Indian sim card a foreign national must fill in a form and hand passport copies and photos. Our signatures on the documents had to match our passports exactly and we practically had to sign every paper 3 times. The most bizarre thing was we had to glue our picture to the form and sign half our signatures on the photo and half on the form! K
We finally handed our forms in and a few of us headed to Bombay High Court, it is a very beautifully crafted building but we couldn't take pictures and security was really tight, so tight in fact that we couldn't sit in on a public case. We made our way to the hotel to get ready for opening ceremony and the dress code was formal in the blistering sun...
