This morning we headed to the Empire State Building to try and see the view. After running around exchanging a ticket for another ticket then security checks we did the virtual tour of New York which was nice. It mentioned the fallen towers and that the Empire was always going to be overtaken in height at some point but was standing proud to be a building built in the 1930's in a very short time frame where buildings today still take longer to build.
We finally made it to the top gate and the ladies were saying it's packed up there you can come back another time if you like. What a pain in the butt. But a little shorty like me wouldn't have any hope amongst them so we bailed to come back tomorrow.
From Empire we walked to the Rock where we booked for tomorrow also. We had a gawk at the ice rink and the skaters out the front of the Rockefeller centre. It's a nice change to see an ice rink in the outdoors.
We queued up for some Broadway tickets & unfortunately our choice of Pippin was sold out so we went for our second choice Jersey Boys.
The show was fantastic. It took a little to get started but once they started singing we loved it. Mike mentioned how much his parents would enjoy the show so Ray & Robyn put it on your list if it ever comes to town.
