Lazy morning this morning after our big day yesterday. We hit the street around 10.30am. We wandered around a little until we decided to try and get to the baseball game which starts at 1pm and at the Broncs. Getting to the subway was no worries but knowing which direction to go and the stop we needed to get off at was STRESSFUL! We noticed some Yankees fans in the next carriage so we decided to follow them. Once we arrived we were pretty excited while we walked through a sea of navy blue & white fans we took the elevator to the third level. As we exited the helpful yankee employees wishing us to "enjoy the game". It was a huge stadium and nothing we had ever been inside before. We had a great view of the field and could hear the hotdog and popcorn callers from afar. We were right on time for the game to start and the crowd was much more easy to manage through unlike a cowboys game.
The Yankees were defeated fairly convincingly by the Baltimore Orioles but we still stayed to watch until the end and when we left the employees thanked each person for coming! Good Hospitality I reckon!
After the game we hopped back on the subway and headed to Madison Square Garden to try and get tickets to the Rangers Hockey game vs North Carolina. We were seated behind the oppositions home goal to start. It was a great view. There is all different prices but they all seem to have a good vision of the game.
The Rangers game was really fast and the crowd was super enthusiastic with lots of chanting. Honestly the whole crowd would be shouting the same war-cry not just a small minority. They all had so much passion for their Rangers it was great to see. Mick and I were on the edge of our seats trying to keep up with the game.
Afterwards we returned on the subway and walked through Times Square to find a place to eat before retreating to bed in preparation for another early start tomorrow on our bus tour to Washington & Niagara Falls.
