The first day of the main festival. We spent the morning at the campsite picking up some supplies and getting in to the swing of the festival. Made some lunch and put together a picnic for the evening.

Once ready we headed down to the Cherry Hilton site and listened to a band on Stage Two, not sure who it was but it was pretty good. Walked around to the Main stage and claimed our spot on the grass. We were there in time for the Evening events, First the Waifs, followed by an energetic performance by the Peatbog Faires, an excellent fusion of various styles of music. Billy Bragg followed rounded out by an knockout performance by The Levellers.

The children had a great time, chatting with various other families around us, making friends and dancing away at times. We had to leave half way through the levellers set as Rebecca had fallen asleep on my shoulder and it was getting a bit tricky to pogo to the music without waking her.
