We left Millau, paid our money and cross the bridge in glorious sunshine. Norman Foster has done a good job on this bridge, whilst it is a modern construction on a historic area, in my view it does not impose and fits in well with the region (Mind you I am a fan of big engineering projects). So now to another great love, and that is food. Looking at the map we noticed that Millau is near to Roquefort, so we went for a tour of the Societe Caves to see how the cheese is produced, and specifically how the blue cheese element of this lovely cheese is produced. It was a very interesting tour (althrough Rebecca found it a bit smelly) and two hours later we came out with our purchased cheese and wine (The cheese was actually cheaper here than in Carrefour, but we don't have the space in the fridge for a complete loaf of cheese.) Looking at the clock we determined that we did not have time to drive to the planned location so we stopped at Nant for a night halt. This location was the second (the first being Millau) where we saw bats hunting in the early evening sky.
