In the morning when we awoke it had stopped raining but it was threating to pour so we packed up quickly and decided that we would skip the park in Kagenfurt which we had thought about visiting and made our way toward Graz. We purchased the 10 day vignette from a suitable petrol station but decided that we would not use the motorway at once by rather follow a less direct route through the mountains. This turned out to be slow going so after an hour and a half and hardly moving on the map we joined the motorway and speed towards Graz. We arrived in 40 minutes. Pulled in at the campsite near a large swiming pool (included in the cost) and setup for the evening.
The next day we caught the bus into the town and had a look around the armoury. It was stunning and Adrian found it very interesting. It contains a large collection of armour and weapons from the 15th to 17th Century whn Austria and the Turks had a spot of bother. The was the town store of weapons to defend Graz
We found a resturant and stopped for a little bit of Tapas (Yes in Austria we ate Tapas). (And it rained).
It stopped raining and we went up the hill to the remains of the castle to take in the view and visited a few more locations in town. We found it very relaxing and came back to the campsite ready for the evening.
