Really went 'off exploring' today. We walked to Piazza Venezia and went through an amazing building called The Imperial. This is a war museum and contained old flags, photos, paintings and film clips, right back to the 1800's. The architecture of the building was breathtaking, including the incredible bronze statues. So I want to blog about food ... I haven't even had pasta yet!! We had a nice pizza on the first night, which by Aussie standards was probably quite plain. Flavor was fresh and delicious in it's simplicity. Then yesterday I felt like a salad for lunch. We had been out touring on a double decker bus and the weather was really quite warm. Arrived in Rome safe and sound. It was a long trip but Emirates were great to fly with. Got in our taxi to take us to the hotel & it turned out to be a communal trip (3 other couples, all going to different hotels). Did we have an adventure?
