Went to the see the reclining Buddha and the emerald buddha today, after trying and failing to go to the grand palace which was closed for a ceremony. It was extremely hot today, 35 degrees at least! After coming out of the palace we were immediately being hassled by tuk tuk drivers as per usual! It can get really frustrating sometimes, especially down khao San road! Yesterday I counted how many times we were bothered and it came to about 6! Everyone seems to think that westerners are walking ATM's, but most Thai people are kind and helpful, and on two occasions have helped us to get a cheap tuk tuk, as they have 2 prices for local and foreigners, often charging us at least triple the price! Tomorrow we get the sleeper train to the islands! X
