Hello hello,
sorry we have been off the radar for a few days, we have been very busy and have had lots of powercuts, which means that we can only come online if the battery is fully charged. It is pitch dark now and we have no power and are leaving in the morning and have not yet packed. Very tricky in the dark so I think I will do it in the morning.
We have said goodbye at the Clinic and the orphanage, I am sad to be leaving but have a million addresses and e-mail addresses for people I have promised to stay in touch with... We did a big job this morning getting the new maternity ward ready to open, which was quite exciting - we moved all of the beds and cots and cleaned the floors etc and now it is ready for all of the mothers to be! I just wish we had got the chance to see one of the new babies, but sadly it is too late now.
We are catching a minibus/taxi thing at 9ish tomorrow morning up to Masindi and then we are heading off on our safari from there the following day. I am really excited about this next stage, it should be really good - apparently there are lots of hippos and elephants and lions and all sorts to see.
I am not sure when we will next get online - maybe tomorrow or maybe not til Thursday or Friday, who knows. We have taken HUNDREDS of photos but we still can't upload them so we will just have to bore you all to death with them once we get home.
Must go, Charlotte's turn now... Sorry I have not replied to anyone's emails, it is not because I have gone off you I promise, and please don't stop sending them (Dougie...) just because I don't always manage to reply.
Lots and lots of love me xxxxxx
ps: I forgot to say, there was an earthquake the night before last, which would have been very exciting but sadly I seem to be the only person in Hoima who slept right through it!
