Got alarm call at 4.45 but snoozed a little and got up at 5.20 leaving us 10 minutes to get ready before being picked up.

Actually got into the proper departure lounge instead of the marquee today and got our flight to Rio De Janeiro to be told that we were flying into Sao Paulo first and would need to reboard the same plane eh ????

While on the plane, Rose thought that she recognised the members of A HA and it was actually them and when we landed she ran over the foot of one of the entourage, well at least it is her claim to fame.

Very, very hot when we landed, thought it was the heat from the plane engines, but not. Don't really want to rub it in but it's boiling.

Got to hotel, which is nice, had a diet coke moment watching 4 bronzed topless men working (oh yeah while overlooking sugar loaf mountain).

Gonna go for a nice evening meal tonight and hopefully chill out if we don't get woken up early tomorrow.

Evening meal was a complete success, sat overlooking Copa Cobana beach and drinking champagne.
