yeah so mum you're jealous already...
Second day started with breakfast. Pretty simple, just toast. Love toast now its definitely a lifeline. Briefing on the balcony introduced to everyone which as alright. Know everyones name now. Most are here for the photography course.
Another brief just for us conservationists, then looked into the data entry style and sheets so I could get involved quickly as possible.
First game drive was at 3. Ran one of the bull elephants, named Mphata. Got about 5m away from him. So was pretty exciting to be that close. I found out after that an encounter like this is so rare. Mphata is known to be very aggressive and drivers would normally stay well clear especially but he wasnt in musth so he seemed much calmer. Mphata had killed an anti poaching unit guy before so yeah you can imagine. Watched him eat a bit before leaving. see the picture.
Left him to go and see more, found giraffe, buffalo, zebra, wilderbeast, jackal, impala and the south pride of Lions.
Getting to know a few names, we saw savannah with sons simba and shaka.
Came back and it was film night
standard watch of blades of glory
