Even earlier start, got up about five. Left around 6 to go and do a controlled fire. We were burning dead grass to allow new grass to grow. This was right by the five star lodge so was also a barrier incase of a natural fire. It was pretty cool, well hot, but didnt last as it wasnt hot enough and there was no wind.
Went on a short game drive instead. Saw Nala, a lionness on her own. She was suspected of as just been hunting and was resting before going again. She needed food for her new cubs. She broke away from the pride to keep the cubs safe, will reintroduce when cubs are old enough.
Afternoon had another game drive, hard life. saw two male lions, scar and mufasa. They are from opposite prides but a coalition maybe formed. Scar is in the picture. Got about 2m away from him.
Booked in for my trip to st Lucia and hippo and croc boat tour. hopefully see some culture and get the beers in.
