Had a snare sweep, snares are hoops of wire used to catch and kill animals. only found one but thats one life saved. walking around in the bush was pretty cool, lions could have come but didnt. May have seen big APU guy yohan with his gun, so didnt bother us. Did see a baby impala in the thicket, pretty scared but cute.
Afternoon drive with a driver called Bekki, he heard a monkey alarm call which usually means leopard so we went to investigate. Had to cross a small dried river to have a look. In very thick bush at a dead end we all look to our left to spot the leopard. Couldnt see but heard an ele to our right. 5m away. it walked up towards us and was in musth. Bekki tried to get out of there by reversing, howver he couldnt. By this time Tuilani was at the front of the truck. Bekki was revving and banging the door to warn him away. Tuilani started getting agitated flapping ears and hed throwing dust. I have no pictures as I was frozen. It also mock charged. Eventually we got out of there and proceeded safely away. He walked past and onto the savannah. We met him out there and saw him knock over some trees. Could have been our truck!
Also on the savanah we watched the sunset with the cheetah brothers, see picture. Pretty beautiful to be honest.
And on the way back we saw scar and Mufasa, got within touching distance but was very dark.
