Flight 2 was from Dubai to Durban and was just more of the same really. A women in my row beat me to my seat (by the window) I let her have it and in return she invited me to her and her husbands place in the Drakensburg Mountains. I gratefully, and sensibley declined, but it goes to show how nice local South African people are.
Stepping off the plane and its more of the same, the passport control joked about my long hair, the taxi driver at me supporting Liverpool. Jacob the concierge even thought Uncle Jeff was my secutary!
This would be a great time to say a big thanks to Jeff and the family, the hotel is just what I needed after a long days travel.
The country and its people have made excellent first impressions, the people so polite and helpful, the landscape just stunning!
Looking forward to meeting some people tomorrow. Being alone has been quite weird. Thank god for skype! Shout out to Mum Sis and my Erin.
Not sure when ill get internet but hopefully will have plenty to talk about in my next blog post

Dad (Julian) Wanted to know more about where you are staying in Thanda so Googled it and thought wow! What an amazing, luxurious resort! Realised I was on tourist website and not volunteer site so looked properly this time. Still looks amazing. Makes me want to go there as a volunteer too. Won't cramp your style though (this time ha ha). Sure you will have a brilliant time and meet some very interesting people and see some incredible animals and scenery. Will try and keep you posted on the transfer front via this blog. By the way did you tell anyone else you were doing a blog or am I the only one commenting? I am improving my maths skills each time I post a comment ha ha. Looking forward to reading the next installment when you are able to post it. Hopefully will be able to read comments from others too
