On Wednesday we travelled down from Surfers Paradise to Arrawarra and stopped off at a surf camp.
Our first stop off of the day was at Currumbin wildlife park, where we went to see some of the native animals of Australia. There was everything from Kangaroo's to Koala's and Salt water Crocs to Wombats! We even got to stroke and feed a Kangaroo!
After this we went to Byron Bay, and visited the Lighthouse which is the most easterly point of mainland Australia. We got a few photos and then made our way in to the center of Byron Bay for lunch. Byron seemed really cool, again very laid back, much like Surfers Paradise, but on a smaller scale.
We arrived in to the Surf Camp just before 5pm and we were shown around the camp and shown to our accomodation. It was very basic, as we were staying in old shipping containers, again.. it was an experience!
We had dinner in the evening and then watched Transformers in their movie room (which sounds slightly more luxurious than it actually was..) and we all had an early night. There was a camp fire to the side of the huts which was quite a cool place to talk to people, but if you're not surfing, there's no point going there!
