Arrived in Sydney at 8.30am very tired and cranky after a sleepless night on a coach! Blastered backpacks were so heavy and it was scorching already so happy to dump them and explore the busy city for the morning!
Walked the length of George Street finally arriving at Circular Quay but was worth it to see the spectacular view of the Harbour Bridge and the Opera House. We were in Sydney!
Time to get our backpacks and find our way to North Ryde. We were staying with Sarah (Rita's old boss from England) and her fiancé Paul, who moved to Australia in Feb 06.
Met at the bus stop by Paul, still carrying those blastered backpacks, on the hottest day of the year so far - 40 something degrees!! Excited to stay with Sarah and Paul but a bit apprehensive about their boys!! - 2 big dogs, Dennis and Milo.
Got freshened up in time for Sarah in from work, nice for Rita to be reunited with Sarah!
