Yesterday we spent a relaxing day in Mount Manganui when I sent howellsey off to walk round the mountain and to have a swim in the sea while I bought some 'essential' clothing (you'll see why when I show you it!). We read, snoozed, wandered and generally didn't do much at all - perfect! We headed off this morning towards Auckland and stopped off at Katikati for a coffee where the first and only Ulster settlers arrived in the late 1800's. There was a massive rugby ball art instalation thingy (pics later) and the rugby club's crest still contains the red hand of Ulster! We stopped next at the Karangahake gorge for a lovely walk (see pic) and learned a bit about gold mining in the area. We've just had lunch and as there is free wifi here (Kopu station hotel) I though I'd upload today's offering! We think we'll stay in Miranda tonight then head to Auckland first thing tomorrow. Think we will have to cheer on Fiji in the game - let's hope they do well!

Allen Looks like the weather is holding up for you! Guess I was the bringer of the wet weather hahaha. Have fun in Auckland, enjoy the game and your last few days in NZ.
