Well its the day after the full moon party and we are all completey b*ll**k*sed. This is our last day in Koh Panghang. We leave tommorow for the West side of Thailand and to the island of Koh Phi Phi, which we have heard some great stuff about. Its also the location of the beach from the film THE BEACH. We are hoping to do some Kayacking (probably not how you spell it) there.
We have been staying in Haad Rin for about 6 days and am looking forward to going somewhere different. HAve had a great time here but its a resort kind of place so 6 days is plenty. The first night we stayed here, we had a taste of what was to come on the day of the full moon party. Parties on the beach, fire jugglers, buckets of alcohol everywhere, every bar blasting out hard house music. But this would not prepare us for the actual event.
In between we have managed to do some chilling out in our Bungalow, which is probably going to be one of the best places we stay. Air conditioned bed room, a fridge, large bathroom with a toilet that flushes (yippee) and a large balcony, with a hammock, which was used profusely. All for about 21 pound a night, split between four of us. Not bad at all. Have been to the beach a couple of times for some relaxation.
On tuesday, we did some true travelling exercise. We climbed over some mountains to get to a secluded beach. It must have been about 34 degrees outside. You guys would have been snuggled up in bed about the time we started. The sweat was dripping off us. There was a chance of seeing some poisonous snakes/spiders and even some monkeys. I was in my element. I was thinking about the lake district while i was climbing and wishing the Mike was there to be in his element too. I dont think Lee enjoyed the Trek too much and neither was Mick until he lightened his load at the top of one of the mountains (I had to throw in a toilet episode somewhere in this journal lol). Wasnt a pretty sight. I must say that my new Gortex shoes worked a treat and ill never wear anything else now when im climbing. Its definately given me the taste for doing more trekking and i cant wait for the Inca trail in Peru. Mike, this is where you should come to in South America. After a couple of hours of walking, we reached the beach and the satisfaction of walking into the cool ocean made the walk even better. We got the boat back and could see how far we had actually walked. Getting in was a bit tricky since we all had bags with ipods in them and to get into the boat you had to walk into the sea, shoulder high. The ride back was bliss.
Since being in Haad Rin I have also been enjoying the luxury of a traditional Thai massage. I have been for two so far and they are amazing. it lasts an hour and costs just three pounds. Unbelievable. The second time i went in all the Thai ladies in there were giggling at me. They must think Im crazy or something. At the full moon party last night i also saw 3 of them. They spoke to me and were asking if i was coming in again today. I seem to remember them saying that all three of them would massage me at the same time. Maybe i was just dreaming that. id had a few buckets at this point. But i will let u know in my next blog as im going again tonight. HAHA.
On to the full moon party. It looked like the party was going to be a wash out. It had been raining, thundering and lightning for almost a solid day. I when i say rain, i mean rain. Rumours were circling that i was going to be cancelled. Anyway, we headed out around 8 after a few beers in the bungalow so one of our local bars. Then we headed to the beach and it was blindly obvious that the party hadnt been cancelled. the beach was packed, the nusic was booming. The skys had cleared and the full moon was beaming down on us. It was at this point we headed for the buckets. Me and Willetts went for the vodka red bulls, while Mick and Lee went for the coke and whiskys. This is where it starts to blur. The pictures tell a better story. But i have to wait for Willetts to upload them in a day or 2. After a couple of buckets we decided to paint the holiday logo on our bodies (TEAM PANDA). Lee did all the art work and it was fantastic. Mike you are going to love these pictures. I also had something painted on my chest, which i was told some American girls did. I cant remember. Seriously, the photos are amazing. this is where it goes a bit hectic. I manage to disappear for a couple of hours. Apparently dancing around stupidly by the sea. Meanwhile Leeroy has apparently lost his watch and is seriously stressing out. Mick and Wills are looking frantically around the area where we did the painting. Somehow, me and Lee manage to pass out in exactly the same spot (see picture when you get it). If you also look you will see that the watch is on my hand. Apparently Lee had put it on my wrist when he did the painting. Mick and Wills come back and spot this, but by this time Lee is too far passed out with mental exhaustion. I end up taking him home (about half three now and head back out out. the party is really booming now. Mick ends up falling asleep on the beach (brilliant pic of him waking up). We stay and watch the sun rise. It was amazing to see the thousands of people dancing around like crazy as the sun was rising. Even when we left about half six, the party was still going. And even when we woke up about one, we could still here the music booming. Anyway, it was a fantasticly crazy night and best pics so far.

See ya when i see ya. Hope your all having a great build up to xmas
