As some of you may know, i tend to suffer from sudden outbursts during sleep. I thought it masy be funny to keep a track of the ones i have had and how it has affected my travelling buddies

Duvet man

My first outburst occured only a couple of nights into the holiday during our stay in Bangkok. I woke up with the sudden feeling that someone was on top of my duvet. I shouted outloud and threw the duvet off the top bunk bed onto the floor, waking both Tom and Lee. Lee, who was sleeping beneath me, was startled and let out a shout of his own (I still laugh at this sound). At this point i was hanging off the end of my bed. Lee could see my reflection in the mirror opposite and was of the opinion that i was falling. He began pushing upwards in the direction of my reflection, although he wasnt pushing against me, just thin air. I quickly realised that the duvet man was only a duvet and the episode was finished.

3rd most poisonous spider

The next episode occured in the beach hut of Koh Samui.Me and Tom were staying in this particular hut. During the night i suddenly woke up and thought i had seen a spider and my foot swelling up. I also thought that somene had told me it was the 3rd most poisnous spider. I ran out of bed, almost breaking the mozzy net and starting hopping franticly around the room, looking for the exit in the pitch black hut. I had a pain in my foot. This woke Tom, who was trying to ask me what the hell was going on. I said id been bitten by a spider and claimed that someone had told me that it was the 3rd most poisonous one. He assured me that he was the only person in the room. I then realised that the pain in my foot was cramp and the episode was over
