So Here is a quick run-down of the Wedding!
I don't have any photos of the wedding yet, but hopefully I will get some from Omar (grandma) who took some.
So we went to the wedding at 12pm all piled into the car. Two of the little girls Alex and Eva were flower girls and wore pretty long pink dresses. So too did little Sandra. The ceremony wasn't very long and was very small! It was in a small chapel on top of a grassy hill.
I think it was a bit different to Australian weddings. In Germany they have 2 weddings. One where the important stuff was done like signing the documents etc. and the other more for show. There was no "you may now kiss the bride" and there was no exchanging of vowels... from what I can gather, I didn't understand a word that was said and barely could hear through small Sandra's squeals and Gino's sighs of boredom. haha.
After the church part, everyone went out side and white doves were realeased! It was beautiful.
Then everyone traveled a short way down th road to a place where the after ceremony was to be held. First we ate cake and then some games between the bride and groom were played and they had their first dance. Then the groom was tided to a chair and blind folded, while the bride and all the girls ran away. We went to another area outside were there was a traditional bavarian band (like in the picture) and the bride awaited the groom to find her. Once he came out and found her, the fun started.
The band played traditional songs and a few games were played. Including one where you had to stand up and skull your drink when your birthday month was called. I'll tell you, skulling wine is no fun! haha. but here they drink wine with water or lemonade!
After the songs and games were over, we went inside and ate dinner. I dont think there was any food too interesting to tell you about, but if I remember something I'll let you know.
So the rest of the night we danced and then went home.
One funny moment during the dinner was all of a sudden, small Sandra went missing! It was quite funny because they call her kooksie or mousie so everyone was wondering around saying 'kooksie' and I thought it was hilarious, such a typical thing from a movie to loose a kid, searching under tables etc. We found her over by the cake table! because she always likes to eat sweet things, especially chocolate!

Mum It's curious that they exchange vowels in German weddings - in Australia we exchange vows!
dad Did you do the chicken dance to the Bavarian band?
