Alright All?
only 1 week left now..................
Right wrist is finally recovering, just in time because i've now b*****#d up my left one!
Mon- Wed were faily eventless; training eating and sleeping plenty (still so knackered after training each day).
Thurs, I was nearly "attacked" by a HUGE snake. We were doing a warm up running around the castle [not sure if ive mentioned this before, but the Ye He Ancient Castle is actually only 8 years old and was built as a film set!!!] and rounded a corner, Matt ran over what looked like a yellow and green striped hose. I looked along its length and suddenly noticed a pair of slanted eyes looking at me from the reared head of a fearsome looking snake! Someone else came round the corner at which point the snake decided that it no longer fancied its odds and made tracks into the undergrowth. B@stard was at least a metre long, but apparently not venomous/ dangerous.
Friday was also an interesting day; We sparred in the afternoon. I went up against a big Canadian fellow who promptly belted me in the Gonads (by accident- still hurt though, the guy has been doing Tae kwondo for 3 yrs so his kicks are pretty powerful!!))so Sifu told me to take a break. Then he put me up against one of the Chinese student- the poor guy was a half a foot shorter than me and half my weight. The Chinese students dont seem to punch much or use a guard, they prefer kicks, so after catching a few of his kicks and knocking him over as well as landing a few jabs on his face I started to really wish we could stop because he was definitely coming off worse. Not the nicest of experiences.
Finally finished learning a Qi Gong routine off Darren this week, so thats good. Will be doing that every day for a while- apparently this particular one produces some impressive energy and power.
Hope everyone is well back home, keep emailing!
