China&Peru 2006
Only 2 weeks left to go!!!!!
not the hardest week of training ever, but the day off on Wednesday was certainly a welcome one!
On a minor note, I have finally finished tai chi 40!
Mon & Tues were hardcore and my legs, along with with the rest of my body were aching from exertion, luckily we had the day off on Wednesday, as I mentioned above, because it was the Dragonboat festival and Our sifu (who also teaches the chinese students) took us all into SiPing to visit the [theme] park (area around a lake with a few rides; one of which spun us around in circles whilst lifting us into the air didnt create any adrenaline rush but just made us feel nauseous- which is a first!). Went into town for lunch and to get a few bits & pieces and then headed home. Sifu's son, who had sat on my lap during the ride in, slept across matt's and my legs which is amazing considering how bumpy the road is at some points (only 1/2 the journey is on tarmac and most drivers are fantastic at playing chicken with oncoming taxis....)
thurs was another lazy day which was lucky because i had my first bout of stomach ache since leaving home, so heavy training sessions were not on the top of my wish list.
friday was good fun, trained in the forest all day- punching and kicking the trees (sifu let us attach sparring pads to the trees for once)
saturday was spent training in the morning- sparring with the senior student who takes the meditation sessions. He sparred 1 on 1 with 7 of us for over 2 hours plus and never tired, he also gave me a beauty of a black eye. Then did some acrobatics and watched a film- if any of you can get hold of a video called 'what the bleep do we know', please watch it! it is well worth the time and money you may have to spend getting hold of it....
Thats all from me for now- look after yourselves xx
